I've been thinking a lot about life today and was reading out of the Ensign and came across a wonderful article on sharing the gospel. It really made me think about Munich and I and what we are doing here in Arlington. We have meet a lot of people these past few years of marriage in the church and out. I have such a very strong desire to share the gospel with my brothers and sisters. This past year here in Arlington has been such a blessing to Munich and I and even Milan. It is hard to explain it all in words but I will try. We have people in and out of our home for dinner at least once or twice a week. Sometimes I wonder why are we feeding so many people all the time? And even I get so tired in my mind and don't want to do it. But I still do. For the most part it is with a happy heart. I look back on this last year and truly see the Lord has blessed us. We have been given so much and continue to be blessed with physical needs for giving so much service. I have felt the spirit in our home so many times when we have a disscussion with the missionaries and those learning about the gospel. It has been some of my most cherished experiences. To see someone learning about God and the plan he has for them. It is so exciting to see the excitment in their eye. And the time the Mongolian lady sat in our living room crying at the testimony of the prophet saying, "what he says is true, this I know." It was so powerful. The elder cried with her. There was not a dry eye in our living room. I will never forget these wonderful moments. What a blessing to share the gospel with those around us. Back to the article in the Ensign, the lady talks about not feeling like she had time for missionary work. Well her husband didn't give into those feelings and things feel into place for them to share the gospel to some family who was so ready to hear. She shared the scripture (D&C 6:36) "Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not." I think if we used this in our lives we we move forward in every part of our life being more bold and not afraid of what could happen if we believe.
Munich and I are so happy. We love it here and have seen so many blessings every day for trying to open our home more to those who don't have what we have. The more we give the more we gain!!!! There is so much to be happy about in our life.
The other thought I had was another talk in the Ensign by Thomas S. Monson on the peril of hidden wedges. He talked about forgiving and loving people no matter what. Such a good lesson to learn.
Anyway, this is my thought for the day. I think I was inspired by what Chantel wrote in her blog. GO CHANTEL. You are such an amazing person and have some along so far. I think you are amazing!!!!
