Some very exciting adventure in the life of the Lamjav family. Well yesterday Munich had the opportunity to go to the White house and meet the president of the United States. Last week he was called by the State Department and was asked to be the interpreter for the Mongolian Ambassador to the United States. He was just coming to the United States and was being greeted by the President. So Milan and I dropped Munich off at the State Department. He was then escorted to a special black car, the ones you see driving around government officials in D.C. They put a US flag and a Mongolian flag on both sides of the car. They drove to the Mongolian Embassy and picked up the Ambassador. Then they drove to the White house. Munich said they were greeted by Soldiers in uniform and someone playing a horn. He said it was really neat. They they were taken into the White house and went into the Jefferson room and then taken to the Oval Office where the President was waiting for them. Munich was able to shake the Presidents hand and the really funny thing is Munich introduced himself as "hi my name is Munich Lamjav, I am a Mongolian interpreter and I am also known as the good looking Mongolian. But I am humble." Only my husband would say that to the President! Well the President laughed hard and so did all the secret service people and others in the room. He must have made a good impression because before they left the oval office the president called to one of his people who take pictures and said, hey I want to get a picture taken with Munich. (By the way Munich was the only one that was asked to have a picture taken with the president) Munich said Bush put his arm around him and got a picture. Munich is now trying to find out how to get a copy! Munich said it was a great experience and happy to have had the opportunity to go to the white house like that. I just wanted to tell Munich how proud I am of him and excited for all the great things he has coming his way. Also Munich picked up 4 boxes of M&M's that you can only get at the white house.

So funny and cool! I hope he can get a copy of that photo that would be a great keepsake. And I think the baby name is beautiful. Can we see any cute belly shots soon?
Munich, way to go! I am glad you had such a cool experience~! Hopefully you didn't try to tell Pres. Bush about the Many uses of Garlic...He may not have wanted to get that picture taken!
