MUNICH IS NOW AN AMERICAN CITIZEN

This is a picture of Munich holding Sofia on September 2, 2008. It was such an exciting day for us. We were sitting at the INS office in Fairfax, Virginia waiting for Munich to take the USA oath to become a citizen of the United States. We got there around 2:40pm and didn't get home until about 6:00pm. It was such a long wait for this day and an even longer wait that day at the INS immigration office. I thought I was going to go crazy. I told Munich it was just one last thing for the INS to make us wait for. :0 Our good friends were able to watch Milan for us which I am so glad because she would not have liked sitting around for 2 1/2 hours.

This was taken right before the ceremony. There were about 77 people getting their citizenship that afternoon. It was such a neat ceremony and I even had tears in my eyes. I was so proud of Munich and couldn't believe this day had finally arrived. It had been a long hard process.
All the immigrants getting ready to take the oath.

Munich getting his naturalization papers from the head of immigration. I thought it was great he was able to hold Sofia in this picture. CONGRATULATIONS Munich. I am so proud of you and I love you so much. You are going to have so many new doors open up to you because of this accomplishment.
