CHRISTMAS NIGHT

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas. We had a great relaxing day. In the afternoon we were able to visit with a few friends. We also went to a friends open house and had some yummy food. Their son has a crush on Milan who is 5. While there he had colored a picture and gave it to me and Milan. On it was his name and Milan's name and a big huge heart. His mom and I had a good laugh. On Christmas night we went up to see the Washington D.C. LDS temple. This is Milan upset because she couldn't actually get into the temple. Before we were to leave she had an absolute fit because she wanted to get married. I haven't really talked to her about getting married. She is always wanting to be older and be like mommy and daddy. It was pretty cute. In order to get her to calm down we had to walk to the temple doors. She was calm after she realized she couldn't get in.

It was a lot of fun to go and see the Christmas lights. While there at the visitor center they had a wonderful Christmas concert. The Mongolians in our ward meet up with us there. It really made our day to see all of them and share in the Christmas spirit. While I was walking around looking at the lights I saw a girl I thought I knew. I decided to talk to her. We actually had worked together at Hogi Yogi while I was attending SUU in 2000. (Which is in southern Utah) Small world. She and her husband are living in the area. And Munich also ran into a Mongolian guy and his family he had know while attending High School in Mongolia. Small world!!!!!!!!

My cute family!

I thought this picture of Milan was so cute.

It is always amazing to see how many Mongolians attend our church. It just keeps growing. I am the only non-Mongolian in the group. :) This Christmas season has brought some great blessings to some of them. I love being apart of this group and have some wonderful friendships because of it.

LOL, my husband is always teasing me about running into people I know. Who did you run into? Glad you had a Merry Christmas!

The temple is beautiful. My friend's parents live on a property that borders it--what a view!

I love that you didn't wrap the presents on Christmas morning, by the way! It looks so much more fun from a 3 year old's perspective that way! We're trying to figure out what kind of Christmas traditions will make a lasting impression on Samantha. Steve's going to try some things out from his childhood (although taking the chocolates out of foil-wrapped santas hanging on the tree and putting them back and assuming that your parents can't tell isn't on the list...LOL)

Glad you guys had a great holiday! Btw, I hope Milan's feeling better. Although she's not sick anymore, Samantha's tummy is still a bit "off." Hoping for more food consumption today... I'd love to see you soon! Maybe later this afternoon or on New Years' Day?

Happy Holidays Lamjav Family! Aways a thrill to get online and see how your beautiful family is doing. Looks like you had a great christmas. We are all doing fine and for the first time in a long time are all home for the holidays and it was great to have the white stuff coming down for the holiday. Last year we were in Georgia and flying kites on Christmas day...not the same as being cuddled up to a warm fire. Do you ever hear from Melissa Jones anymore (sister jones)? I got a christmas card from (sister yardley-now stoddard) and she just had a little baby girl. It is hard to believe how everyone's lives have changed and grown. Miss having you all around. <3 The DrakeFamily7
