We would like to announce the birth of our new little girl. She was born on July 30th, 2008 at 3:08pm. Little baby Sofia weighed in at 5lbs and 6ozs and 19 inches long. Sorry for the delay in pictures or any information we have decided that having that 2nd baby makes it much harder to get everything done you had been able to in the past. Here is what happened, last Tuesday I started having contractions all day long. They kept getting worse and I finally experienced what real labor felt like. Which by the way was not the best feeling in the world. The great thing about going into labor on Tuesday was my mom was coming into town that evening. She just happened to pick the 29th to fly out and help me. Good timing on her part! Well by the time my mom got here I was really starting to hurt. That night I tried going to sleep but never actually feel asleep because the pain was really coming strong every 8 minutes. At 4am I decided to drive myself to the hospital, of course with my mom in the car with me. We decided to leave Munich home with the girls because he had been up all night working on a project for work. The nurse at the hospital thought I needed to wake up daddy. But was I glad my mom was with me. The labor got worse and when the doctor finally saw me I was dilated to a 3 and really in pain. My mom helped me breath through each contraction. If it was just Munich and I he would have been just as freaked out as I was at that moment. They finally got me into a room and got an iv going, which by the way took two different nurse and the help of my mom to get the needle to go into my veins which I learned were very vessel like. There were 3 attempts to get that needle in. I think that was as close to labor pain for me. I have IV needles. Finally we were ready and I was happy because I couldn't go much longer without that epidural medicine. After being in labor 12 hours they broke my water. At that moment baby's heart rate went down. That was really scary and it kept happening until the doctor didn't like what she was seeing and decided I needed a c-section. So within ten minutes I was in the operating room. I was really nervous but it went fast and baby Sofia was here before we knew it.
