For a few days now I have been trying to put up more pictures of baby Sofia and Milan. For some reason blogger is not working for me. It figures because I finally had some time to put them up and it doesn't work for me. So I thought I would update on what we have been doing for the past week since Sofia has joined our family. I was in the hospital until Saturday evening. Munich has been so busy with a work project that I had my mom stay with me at the hospital so he could get that stuff all done. He keeps getting more projects with the assignment so it still has not been finished. He thinks on Friday he should be all done. I am keeping my fingers crossed. While in the hospital I had a lot of time to rest and do nothing. Of course I didn't get much rest because my room was right next to the helicopter pad! Baby Sofia had to go under the tanning beds or so the nurse keep calling it that. She was tanning until Friday night and then the numbers had gone down and finally she was allowed to stay in the room with us. One big shock of her birth is that Sofia has downs syndrome. It was all so overwhelming at the time because they told us right when I was taken to the room to recover after the c-section. It was such a shock and I couldn't even think straight when they told us. Munich really struggled with the news. It has been a big shock to us and in some ways I can't even describe in words how we have felt. However, I do know that she is beautiful and I love her so much. I know with time I will learn from this experience and will see the blessing of having her in our home. It just isn't something you are prepared to hear. Heavenly Father must believe we are strong enough to help such a special spirit. I just want to say thanks to all those who have supported us this past week. I am so thankful for such wonderful friends and family who have talked with me and helped me work through my feelings. As soon as I can figure out why blogger is not allowing me to get pictures posted I will get them on here so you can see our sweet little Sofia. She is such a great baby and I am getting more sleep than I ever did with Milan. She is happy and doesn't cry very often.
Some other exciting news to report is that Munich received he letter from the INS!!!!!!!!!!!! He will become a true American citizen on September 2, 2008. We were so excited to finally hear from them. It has almost been 2 years since we applied for it. I feel like it will really open up doors for him with his career path.

Congratulations! On both blessings, a beautiful new daughter and Munich's citizenship. I too have faith that Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he sent you your little girl, he could not have found a more loving, faithful and strong family.
Congratulations on your sweet baby girl! The first thing I thought of when I read this was.......What a lucky little girl to be sent to such a sweet, nice and caring mother! I don't know Munich, but I'm sure he's wonderful as well. You guys will do great!
